Job Description**

**Information Security Engineer**

The WWT Information Security (InfoSec) team is currently searching for an engineer to help in two areas: (1) threat and vulnerability management (TVM) and (2) project work. As part of the TVM role, you would be responsible for using tools to proactively mitigate security concerns. As part of the project work, you would perform security architecture and compliance reviews.

**Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to):**

+ Threat and Vulnerability Management

+ Anti-Malware: Continuously optimize it to maximize true positives and true negatives, and to minimize false positives and false negatives.

+ Security Information and Event Management (Splunk): Create relevant reports and dashboards for proactive mitigation of issues, threat hunting, and audits.

+ Data Loss Prevention (Microsoft Office 365 and another product): Continuously optimize them to maximize true positives and true negatives, and to minimize false positives and false negatives.

+ Automation (Phantom): Automate frequently executed procedures.

+ Threat Awareness: Monitor threat information sources, including closed and open source intelligence, and prioritize remediation based on potential impact to the organization.

+ Project Work

+ Perform security architecture review for existing and proposed solutions, e.g. the installation of a new financial system within WWT.

+ Draw logical architecture, physical architecture, and data flow diagrams.

+ Identify threats, gaps in security controls and propose better solutions.

+ Address both on-premises and cloud solutions

+ Perform business process reviews.

+ Draw workflow and sequence diagrams.

+ Identify gaps in security and propose better solutions.

+ Apply WWT InfoSec policies and industry best practices to all security work.

+ Write documentation.

**Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Cyber Security, Information Assurance, or Information Security degree preferred.

+ Security certifications proving knowledge and hands-on capability preferred. Cloud security and Splunk certifications highly preferred.

+ Knowledge of a wide breadth of information security topics. Be knowledgeable of security at all layers of the OSI model.

+ Knowledge of a wide breadth of security products on the market. Hands-on experience with a subset of those security products, particularly with Splunk.

+ Good verbal and written communication skills.
